My name is Mikael and I am an ultra runner from Finland. I have done many different sports but since 2004 I have concentrated mainly on ultra running. Since then I have run more than 30 ultra races in many different locations. I like new challenges and hence try to find new races with new and different demands to overcome. A positive attitude helps me get over difficult patches on trails. Day to day training is important for me not only from a physical fitness point of view but it also brings good balance between work and family. It gives me time to process my thoughts as running works for me also like meditation. If someone gets any help from my hints and tips on these pages then I am more than happy.
I have always had a passion to exercise and I also like to challenge myself. It is this passion that motivates me to execute the ongoing training plan and preparing for the future goal. It’s not always easy and there are days you just want to do something else. Luckily this doesn’t happen very often or last for long, but I will get back to training schedule and remember the goal clearly.
